Hopefully l4d 3 (if it ever comes out) has a vs skill system or atleast allows an option for vs mode for people with more than xxx amount of hrs or optional veteran status search etc.
A Versus tutorial or practice mode would also be a logical implimentation for newbs. The partial blame comes from no other real source to gain versus experience other than directly in versus matches. And often nothing is taught during these matches so they come out with no more knowledge than they did when they went in.
All of these suggestions seem logical and fair but Valve doesn't make logical/fair moves.
Yeah, you don't care about the competitive aspect, but the other players do. You coming into a competitive (y'know, versus) game and then turning a 4v4 into what is practically a 3v4 with your uselessness isn't going to make your team feel very supportive of you.
When I had this problem back when I started I went on youtube and watched as many 'Tips and Advice' videos for the game I could find and I found myself not getting kicked at all after that. Try that?
