Your opinion on Tactical mods?

To me they don´t fit L4D2 at all;

Isn´t L4D2 meant to be a "movie"? Where you control "actors" and you "kill" other "actors"?

Also the tone? Like The first L4D is horror , the 2th is more like comedy-action?

Why replace that with "dashcam" and "realistic" military personel as survivors?

I´ve yet to seen one Military guy that is just as charasmatic as "Mah friends call me coach!?" Or "Did ya i tell ya bout the time My buddy keith was stabbed by a KKK member?"

One of the reasons why valve changed the "tactical outift" of the OG survivors from the First Left was that

"They looked too prepared for the apocalypse..."

Same can be applied here.

Actually they look that way because this is suppost to be a cheezy zombie movie , where common logic is ignored constantly.

Older zombie films , the survivors would´ve say stuff like
"Uhm... i never fired one of these before..." then later on the climax of the movie they instantly learned how guns work and started massacring zombies on the spot.

Ash from Evil Dead from example, he quickly went from being a dork to then become a badass with a "boom stick" during the movies , even tho Ash probably din´t had any gun experience up to that point...

Plot armor basically... And since L4D2 is a "movie" , then yeah it kinda make sense...

In-game they look out place , Serious looking survivors interacting with boomer´s goofy ass wabbling around , The jockey clowny taunting Laughter and the common horde sounding like a bunch of Meth heads seeing heathy and weathy people passing by their "Meth" zone...

Tbh they only serve as "SFM" characters to use on your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attempt at making a "cinematic" poster...

In-game they look out place , Serious looking survivors interacting with boomer´s goofy ass wabbling around , The jockey clowny taunting Laughter and the common horde sounding like a bunch of Meth heads seeing heathy and weathy people passing by their "Meth" zone...

So switch up the infected and make it more serious looking.

Yeah, older games with newer tactical stuff isn't a good combo most of the time, especially for those that were never based on Military to begin with.

But then again these are also "Mods" ... they're meant to modify and change the user's games, one of the bigger issues of the HL2 community is when they put any modder on blast for changing a single polygon on kleiner's ass because it "Ruins the atmosphere"

But thanks to Modding there are even franchises like Killing Floor that brought itself up by being originally a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004.

personally I dislike modding games as vanilla will always be my cup of tea, but if YOU want to switch it up from L4D2 being a Horror Comedy to Sci-Fi Horror then go ahead.

i agree. but the only good "tactical" mods are ones that FIT the game.
theres a collection called "Source tactical" which has tactical mods that is supposed to fit for the game. i also get riot team (l4d1/l4d2) since there is ALSO riot zombies in the game.

Because Everyone Can Do What They Want On Their Game That's Just Personal Preference I Like MW2019 Weapons A Lot I Know People Hate It Too Much The More You Hate The More You Cry About Them (Sorry If It's UpLifting You)

Sure, I Like Tactical Characters But Not The
Ones That Ruin Artstyle For Example, INS Sandstorm & The Division Characters They Get A "Pass" And "Fits" Of Course Except Soldier Reskins Etc.

If You Hate A Mod That's FullFilling Your Body With Hate Then Don't Try It. It's More Recommendable And Ignore Them


For My Opinion, They're Good Of Course It's Gonna Get Hate On Workshop If It's Full Of Tactical Weapons Or Otherwise It Can Ruin The Artstyle Which Is Kinda Makes Me Frustrated
