If you start a game with sv_cheats enabled, you can enter this in the console:

z_spawn_tank

There's only 2 ways either using sv_cheats 1 or using a sorcemod plugin on a server. No other way to do it.

Cheats do work, but if you have them turned off they won't.

cheats dont work for me when i wanna see if a mod works.

even on single player it says "cheats are not allowed on multiplayer." so i gave up, and just look for the weapons.

Start a game, bring up the console with the tilde key (the key right below the esc key) type in map then the map name hit enter wait for it to load the map once you are in game bring up the console again and put in sv_cheats 1 to enable cheats.
To use z_spawn_tank you have to have cheats enabled.

i do that, and thats when it says i cant use cheats on multiplayer, which makes no sense, cuz i only try to spawn weapons or infected on single player.

Works for me everytime you have to load the map from the console from the main menu not a lobby.

1. Print a small picture of a Tank. (Use magnets to print faster)
2. Cut out to the outlines so you only see the Tank, nothing else.
3. Get tape and place it behind the picture of the Tank (Office Depot has tape).
4. Launch LFD2 (Mission: Finale)
5. *Crucial* You must have a tank in view in order for this to work.
6. As soon as you see a Tank within the game, quickly place the picture
of the Tank on your computer screen before it dies. You now have two tanks.
7. Enjoy!

Finale Tank [no escaping] is EXIST Only One. Cant spwan other ♥♥♥♥. cheat or anything.
I saw this link https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/L4D2_Level_Design/Custom_Finale
Seem required more advanced Task.
also when escaping, Tank spwan by cheat is able. but 2 Theme is playing.. Orginal tank music and Finale Escaping theme
