i say im black and white and this idiot still shoots zombies 2inches from me with a grenade launcher. -_-
and will molly the room we are in to kill zombies.
even my first day of playing this i knew "you dont burn ur teammates"

I don't pick grenade launchers for the ff, haha. I'm always the defensive player in games, though I love the friendly fire aspect of L4D2 making teams more aware of where/who they're shooting. Not so much with random players who don't seem to realise damage is being done to their team.

Whenever somebody picks up the grenade launcher in a random game, I hang back and let them take the lead. Because 9 times out of 10 the launcher becomes a friendly-fire machine.

There's a reason this weapon is called "noob tube".
When you see someone rushing to the grenade launcher, most of the time - 80%? - you can safely assume that the person picking it up has no clue how to correctly handle it (resulting in blown up team mates).
The other 20% are people who use it to haress their team mates on purpose.

They are there for some nub fun, even after 300 hours.

If I see one I do grab it, just 4 fun. Not in expert but in normal it is fine.

Lol I run for it everytime. When you know what to do with it, it's a lot of fun. Though you'll still have a couple friendly fire incidents. Sometimes it can be cost-effective. Say one person is boomed with 25+ zombies on them, one shot and it clears the crowd. A little damage to the person but a quick escape and you move on.

I'll admit that this is really annoying, but the gl is a lot of fun to use =). So I understand why people grab it.

I dont know what you think using them right means, but some people are incredibly good at killing si with them.

Last time I grabbed the gernade launcher I deliberately blew up hordes of common infected 2 feet away from my teamate.

In all honesty though I don't think it serves a practical purpose - besides those situations that rarely happen where you need to make a trick shot that you wouldn't be able to make with a regular weapon. Or stumbling an SI off a teamate. But someone that has a gernade launcher doesn't provide any cover fire at all hardly so imo it's useless (unless playing for fun).

After playing with these new guys a few dozen games, i noticed in all my games only the worst players pick up the grenade launcher and the chainsaw.

Then they decimate the hp of their teammates. And then they trigger all alarm cars, startle all witches.

well. if i wasnt black and white. i wouldnt mind getting hit.
but i had zombies running atfter me and was trying to focus on not getting hit. and a explosion on me was distracting and hurting me.

plus i was tryin to help a friend finally beat the parish campaign.
and he was triggering every car in the parking lot and almost got us all killed.

again, im cool with having fun/ but if you are joining a game just to ♥♥♥♥ someone else's game up, is annoying. he kicked my friend out the game with his friend. after shooting my friend with a shotgun for no reason.

he kept closing the safe room door when i ran out to save someone fromn a horde. and everytime i opened it he closed it again and made me go from 80 health to 30 cuz the horde was behind me.

and he had hours. so i know he wasnt a new player to this game.

honestly whenever I use the nade launcher, it's just because I either find it when I know there's going to be a horde part/a tank. I hate it when people abuse the GLs' power, because it could be a powerful weapon when handled CORRECTLY, or a great tool for idiots and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. just wanted to let every know that not everyone who uses the GL isn't a fat sack of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (edit further on from here) also if I REALLY need to throw a grenade to clear out a room, i use a pipe bomb, throwing it out a window or down a hall way so the zombies are like: "HOLY CRAP FLASHING RED LIGHT THAT MAKES NOISE > FOOD OMG MUST CHASE" and everyone wins (except the zombies of course(did I spell course right? im not sure...))
