Left 4 dead 2 running slow on an Nvidia Geforce 8200M
Hi Everyone, I just want to know if someone is using this same video card to play the game. It is running really slow using the lowest settings possible. My specs are the following:
Processor: AMD Sempron SI-40 / 2.0 GHz
Ram: 4mb
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce 8200 M
OS: Arch Linux 64 bit.

So if anyone has some similar specs I would really like to know about your experience.

alright :) thanks everyone for your comments. It is working now. It gives me 50 fps but only working at 640 x 480 with everything set on the lower settings. Thank you. I tried the script posted before and it worked like a charm.

Try downloading some additional ram.

I am running Arch Linux it is supposed to be bleeding edge so I guess it is already updated to the latest version.

The game minuim sys req. Says it needs a dual core that is your problem there. And you only got 4 mb of ram? What you running a commadore 64? Lol j/k. But yea the game needs at least a dual core.

Minimum:
Supported OS: Windows® 7 32/64-bit / Vista 32/64 / XP
Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 6600 or better
Hard Drive: At least 13 GB of free space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Recommended:
Supported OS: Windows® 7 32/64-bit / Vista 32/64 / XP
Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.4GHz
Memory: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible video card with Shader model 3.0. NVidia 7600, ATI X1600 or better
Hard Drive: At least 13 GB of free space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Yea from what you posted, your pc specs don't match the minimum sys req. That is really your biggest problem. If your mother board got an am3+ socket get the 6 core amd cpu its very fast.
