Screen goes black and says '1. Auto detect (Analog Input) Cannot display this video mode Optimum resolution 1680x1050 60 Hz'

My screen is already set to 1680x1050 which is my screen's main resolution, but somehow i can't seem to play it. Someone please help.

I found out how to fix it. Go to your games library and find your 'left 4 dead 2' game.

Right click it and click properties. Under the 'General' bar click 'set launch options'.
Now type the resolution you want using this, (-w xxx -h xxx).

For example, (-w 1280 -h 800) or (-w 1920 -h 1080).

You can set this to whatever resolution you like. Hope this helps. Have fun playing!
