we NEED a mod- server block option.
I'm tired of having to ledge-jump/teamkill. Can we please have a mod-server block option? I want to blacklist all modded servers. After the already long loading time having to see the orange text and "choose ur class" stuff is so annoying.

I completely agree, I can't believe there's no option to avoid modded servers, especially on the "Official Dedicated" selection.

Agreed. Please do this. Thank you. :pandastunned:

I used to hate modded servers too. Until I found DLR modded servers. Now there's no going back. I say give DLR a red hot try, with people who didn't buy the game for $4.99 and people who aren't trolls and also enjoy the mod, and I guarantee (pending you already have a FIRM grasp of the vanilla game) you will grow to love the DLR modded server. It's intense, and will leave any self-confessed pro reaching for their medkits.

if you want to avoid modded servers its pretty easy
grab a load of official IPs and ports from here http://www.gametracker.com/search/left4dead2/?query=valve&searchipp=50#search
then go into your cfg folder
\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg
and rename a file called autoexec.360 to autoexec.cfg
open the file and delete all text then add this
mm_dedicated_force_servers
followed by the IPs and ports you grabbed from official servers close to your location
EXAMPLE
mm_dedicated_force_servers"123.45.67.89:27015,987.65.432.21:27016"
you can add as many as you like seperate by using , and wrap the lot in "" like the example above
Now if you start a lobby it will only connect to the IPs you put in your autoexec.cfg so no more modded servers .
If thats all too much enjoy flying tanks ;D :tank:

Don't do what he said you will screw up the mappings for the 360 controller and your keyboard and mouse settings.

This is what the File he said to modify says.

//=============================================================================
// 360 specific autoexec.cfg
//
// Nothing needs to be done here since all the controller setup is done in
// config.360.cfg, but this file needs to exist so that the default
// autoexec.cfg doesn't overwrite the controller mappings.
//DO NOT MODIFY
who the ♥♥♥♥ uses a 360 pad to play l4d2 on steam ???? just make config.360 read only if your retarded enough to use an xbox pad on a pc for a FPS

how about valve just add an option to blacklist servers like tf2 has instead, fairly simple to implement and this game is long overdue for it.
