Chinese can't display.

Ubuntu14.04 can't use Chinese.display

I use Ubuntu, I want L4D2 in Chinese.

L4D2 support Chinese but display is worng.

Ah, right.

Try right-clicking on Left 4 Dead 2 in your Library and go into Properties then onto the Language tab, set that to Chinese and see if that works for you.

I did that. No options display except add-ons.

I've tried to look around for you, but I can't find anything about Chinese not displaying.

I could suggest verifying your game cache, you might be missing some Chinese files?

Load Steam.
From the Library section, right-click on Left 4 Dead 2 and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

Thanks for your help! I did what you say and the game validation failed. But 12 hours ago I download Portal2 and that game validation failed too. I changed download region, hope it's work.

我已经成功了，需要替换Ubuntu默认的中文字体成马曾（zen）黑字体，只不过steam依旧不能打出来任何中文，游戏里也不能，而且l4d2fps虚高，进入游戏客户端是300进游戏就会60左右，游戏设置不能调最高不然进入游戏fps更加不能看
