I get disconnected from other steam games as well but error message is different (Invalid Steam UserID Ticket)..
It was possible to play some time but after I restarted my pc it spew this error message again.
Seems to be a problem with steam servers.
Tried suggestions from forums and steam support website but to no avail.
I guess if noone sends a support ticket to Valve this will take ages until it gets fixed.
Quite annoying.
Open the console and type "sv_lan 1" (for me, it specifically works when entered on the main menu BEFORE starting your game, not after the game has already started).
For context, it was happening for me specifically when playing a local game that I had started from the console (in order to use cheats to play versus against bots) on a community campaign. Despite playing this same campaign from the menu on Last Man on Earth mode earlier that same session, for some reason with the above setup I kept getting booted to menu with the no steam logon error somewhere within the first two minutes. But the above console command stopped it happening flawlessly for me. Hope it helps someone out there!
Just because it was a top result, does not mean you should necro a 7 years old thread
Have you not ever had a troubleshooting problem and gotten frustrated by having all the top results be unanswered threads? Just trying to leave-a-penny for the next person rather than keeping the solution for myself once I had dug deep enough. One old thread at the top of a forum (that can just simply be ignored if it isn't relevant to you, like you would with any other forum thread that isn't relevant to you) is a very small price to pay I'd say.
