Resident Evil - 'The Hive' Campaign
The Hive is a remake of the Hospital from 'Resident Evil: Nemesis', the 'Spencer Mansion' from GameCube's 'Resident Evil' and the entire 'Hive' from the 2002 Resident Evil movie, among other memorable locations. Players will get to explore their favourite RE locations in the triple remake of the Resident Evil universe. Built to mirror everything seen exactly as it was, no feature has been left out. Both the Hospital and the Hive have been linked seamlessly and seem to always have been the one.

Descend 1 Mile underground to experience the fear of Claustrophobia and flesh eating infected combined. Visit 'Dining Hall B', disable the Red Queen, get spliced up by the lasers, find the T-Virus

Can you escape the hive?

Ending was really lame and dissapointing. Was so excited to be in the mansion until I discovered you could only go out the front door.. It was fun going through some parts of the movie and the first part though.

Sorry to hear that, but I'm just doing what pretty much every RE game has done lol. I can imagine you would be saying that ending in a bunker is pretty anticlimatic, but again you've just been running for your lives so it's how it's supposed to happen. Given that both the first and second games end with a self destruct sequence, then escaping in a helicopter, then the third movie changes a self destruct to a nuclear warhead, I'm not really doing anything but what capcom did ha ha. I would have loved to do more of the mansion, but that's room for a later campaign, if you think about it, can you justify any reason for extending that mansion? In search for the mansion keys? Not really, especially as a jet is flying in as you're emerging from the hive to drop a bomb on the city.

The finale might be anticlimatic (even I can agree with that), but then I'm just remaining faithful to the source material ha ha, especially when you've had a climatic and frantic run to find a place to survive within 5 minutes.

Sorry you didn't like that.

you can't please everyone, I did enjoy the rest of the campaign, if you extended the mansion into a whole new campaign that would be awesome. No one has done it yet. You're talented at recreating the whole movie part which was totally awesome, I didn't realize you were the author who made these as I just played these with some friends the other day. I shouldn't be so hard in wording directly to the author ^^. Anyways I guess my gripe was just being so excited to be in the mansion only to be led out, very good job on the main lobby recreation though. I guess I was just too excited to see the whole mansion or some parts redone from a first person perspective, but that's a lot to ask for the final part of a campaign, anyways as a whole I'd say the campaign was a nice experience and a definately recommend anyone to try it, 2 in our party had actually not seen the movie before so they fell for that one part ;). Keep it up.

Well thank you! It means a great deal to me when fans of RE play, and a whole team at that, and enjoy it; makes me smile.

I don't blame you at all about that, I do have to agree that the mansion not having more areas is a let down, I really wanted to do more, and as I've said on other websites I totally plan to make more RE campaigns (RE: Remake might be one of them), but in regards to objectives and progression I couldn't justify it so I had to go wiht how I executed it ha ha.

Given now that I've started something (making the mansion's lobby), I should finish it ha ha

Thanks for the comments and for playing!

Oh, this was your campaign? Awesome! I just beat it the other day, wish the stats worked though:

Very nice campaign. It's completely doable without being easy. The custom soundtrack was a great touch, and you have an amazing attention to detail throughout the campaign that made it very lovely to play.

We did have one trouble spot - in the finale there was one area when jumping over cars and whatnot that gave us both 300+ ping. Besides that, excellent map and I'll definitely be playing it again in the future.

It is actually the most played campain this week on my server. Really great map but both too easy and too hard. First chapters can be done (very) quick in Expert mode but the fiinal have to be lowered to Normal. Most of the time the players didn't finish the final because it is too hard and the server is emptied from it's players in a few minutes.

Beside that is I don't really like the RE franchise. I love your campain it really well done, it was a long time since I saw somethong this good for L4D2.

The reason I think most of the games aren't actually finished, is because of two reasons. First off all, there is a lag spike issue in the finale, this has been known to disconnect players or crash the session; so that's one reason. Alternatively, there is an issue with the bots where they refuse to let the safe room blast doors close, and so it remains open thus the blast kills everyone. Most people don't know what to do about the bots and so they just say "well we did it, let's just quit" The camapign itself isn't hard or at least it shouldn't be if most players do it on expert.

That would explain a lot ! I' haven't personaly see the lag spike but experienced a crash server I tough that was somme script kiddie trying to take me down because at the same time I got autobans added to my server. (some hackers really don't like their bans lol)

I experienced it on solo when trying the campain before taking it online, I found running to the other side of the last room will make the bot run with you far enough of the blast door.

It would be great witth a little bit more of dificulty when I fisrt saw the amount of equiment I tough zombies would rain on me but no :( Their is too much equipement if you lowered it in the safe room it would create a feeling of dificulty; Even if it is so fun running the final with a m249 with fire amo ^^

Beside all of that your mapping work is really good comparaid toi other campains !

Loved the campaign, but it was very very short for having 5 parts.

Glad you liked it! It shouldn't actually be 5 parts, it should be 4, the reason it is 5 is because there is SO much detail in all the maps, specifically maps 2, 3 and 4, I had to split map 4's areas out of map 3. So map 3 and 4 should be merged, but the source engine just can't handle it :D
