Zoey different voice???

In the rescue of death toll, the finale, when zoey says "All right guys, there's a boat on its way!" After answering the radio, she sounds a bit different, why?

Because she decided to say that line in a different way. It's the same voice actress for all the other lines Zoey says. Ms. Taylor was probably just having a bit of fun when she did that line.

To me it sounds like she is just saying it in a goofy way, presumably intentionally.

Actually, that is because Valve forgot to re-record all the original lines. Those are from the L4D Beta when she was apparently older, including having a different VA.

No worries, Deanzynut and ShortyDevil. It's funny to imagine Valve never bothered to keep consistency because they don't expect anyone to notice Zoey has a different voice, but it's especially noticable during finales as you said.

The game was way different during the Beta stages. Some things looked even better than they are in the final version imo.
