How do i turn friendly fire "off" ?

i am getting really annoyed lately because of friendly fire in the game.
it is just a device mostly used by trollers, 2/5 games i visit has a troller in it, and even if there isn't, i am still annoyed by the fact that i have to be carefull 24/7 NOT to hit my allies, who are always in front of my enemies.

so is there a way to disable it?
like in advanced search or something?

if it would be off, then i would not have to worry about hitting my allies, and actually play good in the game, because most of the time i am just sitting at back waiting for my change to kill atleast 1 zombie.

Well, it depends.
If you launch a local game or have an rented server, you could try either of these values here in the console:

survivor_friendly_fire_factor_hard 0
survivor_friendly_fire_factor_expert 0

Or just use Sourcemod, to disable FF.

If you however are just joining games or running lobbies through official or best avaliable dedicated, you have no control at all.

In the end, it's just a matter of time becoming comfortable with the FF. I play on expert all time, and have no issues with FF. With more hours under your belt, you will get there too. Just give it some time.

I forget the exact percentages but on Easy there is no FF. At normal it is something like 1/4 damage. At advanced it is 1/2 damage. At expert it is full damage.
