Please give examples of such maps. IMO all maps are pretty straight forward. And such a minimal would be useless the next 2000 times you play that map.
I could understand the wish for radar/map if this was a lengthy singleplayer game but these maps are sooo simple and even designed such that you cannot get lost. Having a map showing objective etc. would be very annoying once you have played the map just once. There are many difficulties in this game but finding your way is not one of them ;-)
Still... give us examples of maps that confuse you, please.
In some of the maps there are maps of the area drawn on the walls in saferooms etc. You can see that in Crash Course, Blood Harvest, The Sacrifice and maybe others. But even there people do not pay attention to them as they are not really necessary. Also notice that there is seldom just ONE way to go. Often there's at least two ways to go but both ways converge 100-200m ahead (this is probably mostly done for Versus).
I mean to have the option of typing a key as "tab" or "m", or any other, and you can see a point or a little yellow star in the screen or something like that, that shows you where you must go or an arrow, or a little map.
That would be cheating.
