Gamemaps.com Vs Workshop

Which is better in your opinion?
I was very excited when I first read about the Workshop idea for Steam games. My enthusiasm turned to disappointment once I saw the reality of Workshop. Multiple downloads for a single campaign, search hooks being so abused searching is worthless, slow speeds, dealing with VPK conflicts, can't read the download file name to see what it is, etc.
To me gamemaps.com is so much faster and easier to manage your VPK's than Workshop is.
What is your opinion?

Also, Gamemaps.com mods work offline and offline. Workshop mods do not work offline. Just look at all the posts about "my mods are not showing up".

I thought It was a well known fact that L4DMaps is a lot better.

I think it is to the veteren players but the forum seems full of newer players posting so many problems with Workshop. It seems I offer the same help over, and over, and over.

I mostly use the workshop for some addons, but once one of them becomes my favorite, I just unsubscribe from it and install it again from GameMaps. Ion's Vocalizer is an example
Though, I must say, the workshop has a serious anime fetish problem, made by those literal Chinese players who (maybe) hosts those servers I hate

You can still download mods from workshop and use them offline (move them to mods folder) so its the same thing

gamemaps is only good for mods deleted from workshop

game maps is best, more extensive range of files and easier to find what you want compared to the Hentai workshop mess
