The first one had already aggro'd before you turned the flashlight on.
The second one got too close to properly diagnose what happened.
The third was a perfect showcase. BUT it could've just been a coincidence.
I still have some doubts. There are literally no "flashlight aggro" cvars for the Common Infected. i'm not trying to disprove you or anything, but i shall remain skeptical until an actual cvar shows up. Are they just unknown to us?
huh guess its just some myth that i thought was true just cuz some common saw me as i convinently turned on my flashlight or something
i usually run around with it off regardless as to me its just a visual distraction but from hearing about it and some coincidence thought it was true
some mechanic behind it isnt gonna be inserted to the console and when i tried mine it was l4d1 no mercy 1 it seems possible map has an impact for some reason but doubt it at the same time
seems this requires further testing
I'm playing hard rain right now and they see my flashlight, and the moment i change cvar sv_force_time_of_day to 1 (it sets map time to midnight) they stop noticing flashlight.
