How to report teammates?

I've had some seriously toxic teammates just now, how can I report them?

That is a very serious matter. Notify the FBI immediately. Cyber bullying will not be tolerated on l4d2, even if it's versus, with rare exceptions.

as far as i know you can only report their steam profile , however it most likely wont do anything , ALWAYS host your own server , use the admin menu mod and kick or BAN people whom you dont like , you can also freeze them set them on fire , down them teleport them to weird places , really allows you to fight back in many ways , i cant suggest it enough , you can also spawn turrets and other fun things

I often got insulted and shot for hosting my own server. Even though my reasoning is to counter toxic players. But when it comes to toxic players, I will do unimaginable things to them xD

thats because admins tend to cheat when they're losing on versus. And when they rage quit the server shuts down for everyone.

I don't join local servers either.

same. As soon as I see someone has 5 ping I check the server status and leave if it isn't official. There can be so many mods that you wouldn't even be aware of and most people just want a vanilla experience they've come to expect, not even to touch on the admin abuse issues. I don't think its fun to play on a server where the admin can cheat anytime they want.

3rd parties are a bit different since there is usually a team that keeps admin abuse in check and they typically show if they are modded or not right off the bat.

count me in the group of no local lobbies and avoiding servers (unless i join them willingly for fun).
i get the advantages, but it seems most people dislike landing on servers where one person can do whatever they like.
example i landed on a scavenge server. first round went normal, so i didnt suspect something. it got clear, that its not balanced and my team was more experienced.
next i know we face tankS.

this is just my personal impression, but when i read "just make your own server" i hear
"on your own server you can do what you like and no one can keep you from doing so. annoy people as much as you like, because its fun to do weird things".
and i bet there are many kids outside who like to spawn stuff, use godmode and laugh about people leaving.

Besides , toxicity in L4D does not exit.

You´re being brainwashed by the anime addon creators into thinking this game is soaked in sweat when in reality , this game community is the most welcome one.
