Zombie shooting feedback
Hi
When I shoot or kill zombies I don't feel like I'm actually getting zombies shot, do you know what I mean? Like they don't have flesh and it doesn't have "density" or "thickness" or "hardness" as a quality, like I'm just shooting bold textures, "air" with textures. Maybe i miss some sounds or texturex+animation that would feel like I really get those shots and it can be felt.

Are there any workshop mods for that?

just browse the workshop for more realistic zombie physics and if you dont have the uncut dlc you should get it

but if you ask me the extra blood and splatter and the endless corpses laying around makes the game harder to handle (if you are trying to play more competetively) I usually use a mod where the zombies diappear after they die so everything looks clean

Nah, I'm just playing Campaign on Normal all the time, just a casual chill, but thank you!

That's exactly why the zombies feel like "air".

Play on Expert if you want the zombie-shooting to actually feel solid.
If what you want is something like more blood when shot, probably there are some gore mods out there. Normally this can be made by adding some blood particle effects via vscripts.

probably that would do, but what really would make difference is maybe more intense sounds of them getting shot so that it'd be felt
Thank you!

I played on Expert Realism a day ago in singleplayer, which should have make them thicker, because I put much more efforts, but it didn't. Like I'm doing headshots but I don't feel that

yeah, I tried this one, but it works only on local server that you run, doesn't work in quickmatches by Valve

If you want mods that work on quick match or other servers, probably the only options would be some blood particle effect or some realistic mods that can work without using vscripts.

thanks
im gonna try searching for direct hit sounds in gamefolder maybe that will work out somehow
Try hitmark mod. It will replace the blood splatter with hitmark icon which will make the gameplay look more "modern". And try some weapon scope and aim downsights too.

I found the hitmark mode but I didn't like it, and ADS is not done well either I can't manually switch it on and off like in other games, it's more like an edit of existing animation. But thank you for your suggestions!
