Help needed: Left 4 Dead 2 isn't starting when using Vulkan.
EDIT: disregard this post now, i just realized that i don't have my Vulkan drivers installed, must've been uninstalled when i uninstalled my old Nvidia and AMD (igpu) drivers using DDU (Driver Display Uninstaller)

I learned that Vulkan is more stable than DirectX9 for Left 4 Dead 2, so I thought I'd test it out with my Intel Arc B580 GPU by launching the game with the -vulkan command. The issue is that when I tried to launch it, the game doesn't open, and no error appears. I updated the DXVK, verified files, changed the shader quality from high to medium, and restarted my computer, but it still won't open unless I remove the -vulkan command. Does anyone have a solution?

I'll give that a shot, but is there another solution first before I reinstall?

If I remember right Valve broke native vulkan a while back and never bothered to fix it, but you can still use DXVK probably.

The game runs better with default DX9. No need for Vulkan.

That is true, unless you have an Intel Arc card, where Vulkan is much better for the card than DX9
