This being set to 1 by default leaves players being clueless for the reason why nobody had been joining their lobby for the past 20 minutes into the gameplay
I'm pretty sure this doesn't affect players that don't use mods at all(?) - no idea if this is true as I have seen the theory years ago
Oh I see now, Thank you, I appreciate it.
Thank for the info.
To add as well, consistency is meant to enforce critical files, such as weapon scripts and .MDL's of only the special infected. This is because the MDL carries hitbox data, if a player was to join with custom infected models that increase/decrease the hitbox, they would be kicked for a consistency error. Same goes with weapon scripts. Setting to 0 will disable this function. However for some unknown reason, if a host was to host a local server with special infected addons that were custom, other players will not be able to join as the loading bar will disappear and never go up. Currently I've found no workaround for this, only thing is just disabling your special infected addons when your the host.
Official servers don't work as well, as the main server infrastructure doesn't have the map's BSP files on the main server. For a custom map to work on dedicated servers, the server host must add the maps whole VPK into the server list and allow the server to read it. This however comes with huge problems as the server will tend to run into string-table issues and will most likely crash players to the desktop as a result. Your best option is local, never trust third party servers especially when a lot of them just have terrible scripts. If your playing single player, just use the single player tab, or run the map via the console if you have the provided maps BSP name.
So I just disabling all of the special infected add-ons in order to work? I gonna to check it out.
