Is the nightmare mod pack good?

I have been wanting to try out the nightmare mod pack because a couple of my freinds have been playing it, i was wondering if it was actually any fun that way i can know before i uninstall all of my other mods

I didn't play it myself, but it's seemingly a much harder version of l4d2. If you think expert and realism are too easy, maybe you should try it out.

play the game, learn the game (the vanilla game)
complete all campaigns on expert before play with any kind of nightmare pack

Subjective, some play it because they like it, some play it just so they're a part of the "hey look im popular because im playing the currently popular thing :))))))" group.

Personally I think it's the latter.

You can try it . But you'll need to prepare for difficulty levels that are kind of "uncommon". & I don't think that you should uninstall your other mods. Just check addon menu & disable any conflicting mods if there's any. No need to uninstall them.

I would say it is more scary not more difficult. If you want to make the game harder play solo (no bots) increase the health of the commons to a something like 500 and change the pop cap for 32 to 64 (or higher as long as it is below 100 or you'll crazy lag once a horde comes) and add a mod that makes the SI more advanced. there is even mods that "split" the SI as soon as you kill them kill a jockey 10 more spawn instantly in his place

Also i should add that if you think the game is too easy even in solo expert realism then challenge yourself more, do a melee only challenge, pistol only challenge, no weapon challenge, I've watched noskillch do all of those, it a challenge even for him
