Why is the charger suddenly able to charge survivors at point blank?
The game used to prevent you from gettin point blank charges, if you were too close to a survivor you would only stun them and yourself.
Now I've seen players getting charges when they're dryhumping a survivor...
Why did they remove that feature? Or is it a glitch?
And it really makes no sense, if there's no space to gain momentum then how are you going to charge them off a building?
I know it's game logic, but I prefered it when chargers couldn't get a charge if they were too close to a survivor.
If that feature is still working for some of you then let me know. But it's completely broken for me.

Why would you need momentum to perform a grab?

Not grab them, but charge them off a ledge.
Like how is he going to get that speed he gets if his path was obstructed at the very beginning? I mean he could easily just grab and pound them into the same spot he grabbed them, but not push them 50 meters away from their original position at the speed of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ airplane.

If you're refering to his ability to strike the rest of the team after the grab, then it's unrealistic either way. Launching someone two meters high after a couple steps of building speed is just as silly as with no build up at all.

Also the first survivor he meets is not really an "obstacle" if he immedietaly grabs and lifts them, there is no hard collision there.

But that really doesn't even matter, it's a video game. They probably fixed it because it was very inconsistent, especially from the charger's perspective.
"Realism" discussions about zombies. (^.^)

Charger only want to fap, he charges because he can't find a proper place to fap in peace.

Valve: Let's make it so the charger can't 'noob charge' people from 1 foot away.
Update: Noob charge people from 1 foot away you say?

It's a glitch with the Valve hitboxes. Especially in scenarios where lag is very high, the collision of the survivor will act as if it's a brick wall. This usually happens when you're at least 3 meters from the survivor.

The stumble mechanic was removed in TLS update

Glad they finally did this. No more blindly running through areas knowing you can stop chargers.

yeah and reduce the skill needed for charger to 0...
Only way to mess up a charge now is to do it too early or too late or a slight bad angle... Which aren't a bother once you familiarize yourself with the maps... Pretty much giving bad players a huge advantage by removing the stumble...
Idk it's annoying.

Because they fixed the stupid bug which would prevent us from charging from anywhere we wanted - doesn't matter 1 inch away or from a mile.
