Last time i´ve checked , is still active ,

Roughly 21 , 000 or less active

But some of these numbers do not account for the fact that some people either : play by themselves with bots or play with friends on private sessions

The online is mostly active on versus and campaign , any other mode is pretty much dead i think

Campaign/Realism is extremely active. Versus is less so, but still active enough to find a game pretty much anytime. Survival is even less active, so finding an existing lobby at times is challenging, but there's still an active playerbase there too.

The average is 23,461.5

Thing is that those metrics seem to track people either playing with bots or at private sessions so not really "Online" , so the metrics gets all mixed up on how "active" an singleplayer / multiplayer game can be , so not really accurate

Versus and campaigns are the only ones with people on it , any other game mode on this game has very low number or none at all aka dead

So best of luck if you want to play anything else but these 2 with people lol

Yes but that doesn't mean everyone is playing in public servers. They play either by themselves or with friends on private servers. Overall, this game is alive, however the original Left 4 Dead gets around 400 or 500 players while this game gets around 20,000 players.
