Crosshair has Disappeared. Console commands wont work.

So, this just happened at least yesterday...... I started up a game and when I spawned at the beginning of the map. I noticed that my crosshair was gone. I opened up the command console and typed in "crosshair 1" to try to activate it again. This didnt work. I restarted my game and my crosshair was still gone. I did mess around with taking it off and such but that was about a month ago. I don't have any mods that turn off the crosshair either. I'm a fairly good player. I can pull my weight but its hard to get rescue teammates from specials and stuff, especially when I need to point and shoot and cant afford to have to adjust my aim even though it only takes a second or two. I have to say, it does give the game a more realistic feel. Especially in realism. However, I would still like to be able to at least toggle the crosshair on and off. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this and if there is a certain thing that is causing this?

Try enabling sv_cheats 1 first then use crosshairs 1.
