DARKNESS BUG

Hi, I've been infected with this weird darkness bug and I've reinstalled the game and it didn't help at all. The thing is that just a few days before I was playing fine and then from one day to another playing in maps with dark zones like no mercy or the mall in death center two or three seconds after the start of the game everything turns so dark that u can barely see your teammates and there's no way you can play like that :/

If anyone knows anything...I'll be thankful

Are you possible playing on a modded server?
If that is not the case, have you installed any lighting mods?
I know there was one I had installed (dynamic lighting, or something like that) which essentially caused everything to turn so dark I couldn't even see the most basic of features on a map.

If you do, disable them (and probably all add-ons) and you should be good to go.
If you are playing a modded server, try to find an admin who may be able to disable the lighting effects.
Otherwise, if neither of those are the case, verify your game cache and try again.

Thank u but I didn't find any info there...by the way...do you know any command to set everything to normal? Because I remember using one command that started with dynamic something just to see what it was about and maybe is that..................so thats the thing I have to find a command to reset everything to normal, anyway I reinstalled the game and that should have worked if it had something to do with console but I didnt so it means that its something further like a Virus Bug or something like that

No info there, just was wondering if perhaps it was relevant. (ie, if your add-ons were causing similar problems)
I haven't heard of anything like that....
Did you disable all your add-ons ?
Verify your game cache?

Yeah...there's another post about the same problem...its called dark game, and there's a guy that told me a solution but it didn't work on my computer...Sooo...restart the game, doesn't work...reinstall the game...does not work either, clean cache, etc...neither.
Erase the config and insert another one...No solution by now, and everyday I hear more people that's having the same problem...it's like a virus that its creating zombies =P

oh gawd i remember this i could not see 2 steps from my face and the worse part there were no zombies at all

There are many posts about this. Apparently something changed and many others are having this same problem. I have read many of the posts and I have not seen a solution. This looks like one of those problems that you will have to wait out. I have been playing L4D2 since day one and problems like this seem to come and go. Hey! you won't beieve what happened to me...I used a program called Malware bytes and I did a complete clean of my computer and it fixed the Bug...and I played for a couple of days so happy and then the bug came back just like that...If anybody know a final cure for this disease please tell me :'(
