Why does noone play Scavenge?

I often take a quick look in the scavenge lobby, just to check if there is a game, and there never is. Is there something fundamentally wrong with Scavenge that noone plays it?
I can never recall actually seeing a game there, and i have never played scavenge myself.

I play scavenge quite alot and see enough games daily to join. Its not as popular as plain versus because its not as straight forward. Not as many people enjoy playing something that ISNT about running from point A to point B waving your gun around like a call of duty game, and gas can collection was never a popular addition to the game to begin with for that very reason.

So you can assume that people think its more hassle to play than a normal game of versus.

Its hard enough finding a random game where your team mates are even capable of keeping themselves alive let alone completeing a task at the same time.

Basically it requires teamwork to win. You won't find that in public games with random players.

You're from Australia m8, our playerbase is pretty small.

Of course Ameriguns can find lobbies, they have around 13-14x our total population.
