Permanent IP ban for mistagging in steam workshop.

Look, I try to search for nice campaigns, I don't want Nick with changed tie, I don't want a MLP skin, I don't want velociraptor survivors.
Workshop is useless right now, MLP flashlight's and skins are everywhere, concerts with stupid music are everywhere, skins with minor improvement are everywhere, there are no mutations in mutation search.
There should be permanent IP ban for mistagging in steam workshop, not only IP they submitted stuff should be banned but every computer they try to log on, their filthy hands should be cut off.
Fix the workshop, delete everything, and make people actually submit stuff where it belongs to, adding reskin/concert/whatever to campaign or other place where it shouldn't be should be banned.

Around 1% stuff that you search by tag is actually stuff that should be here, don't tell those are all accidents.

I agree it should be a bit better organised, but to ban people goes to far and probably won't even be effective

You just wanted to point out the fact that I was patiently waiting from 20th november 2009 until the price of game would be low enough for me to afford it, and Gaben rewarded me with free game after this? Yeah, you accomplished your mission.

Comment on the files asking that they remove the campaign tag, and if they don't, report the mod to Steam. It's pretty much all you can do.

It does sometimes. A few people I've asked actually fixed the tags, and for the others, they just need some forcible moderation by Steam to get their ♥♥♥♥ straight. Not sure how many reports a mod needs to be noticed by Steam, but it's worth a try.

I fail to see what it has to do with the topic.

Maybe they're unnerved by the fact that someone is going to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that its not easy enough to navigate the library of free mods made by users in there spare time for a game you also got for free. Maybe theyre also unsettled that rather then trying to find another better source of mods on your own which there are many you come here to not discuss it or offer real solutions but just to cry about it. Maybe theyre just sad to see the epitome of whats wrong with society fleshed out in one pathetic l4d2 freebie.

Looks a lot like those butthurt TF2 players who are mad that new players didn't actually pay for the game.

Tag spam and misuse is not something that should be encouraged. It and the near-constant mod theft currently going on make the Workshop a far less useful tool than it could be, in terms of finding decent mods. The Workshop needs more constant moderation, although not quite on the level of "ban the idiots", people who can change tags and remove stolen content on shorter notice than it takes right now.

i click the right box, and bam, alot of what i want..
like campaign, i click campaign and i see them with only a few.

plus stuff like finale music makes sense to be campaign, since it IS for a campaign.

I can understand if it was music designed *for* a *specific* campaign, but if it is for all campaigns, it can just be made a sound. I just don't like checking the campaign checkbox, and the first few mods are guns, reskins, sound mods. Very few actual campaigns are being listed. I can understand putting Survival Maps in the campaign area, but even then I would want them seperate.
