they need a counter in your stats
for how many times you quit a game, so people know who rage quitters are. i cant win a game of versus, cuz if my teams winning, the other team quits and poof, back to lobby..

but if im losing, my team quits and im stuck alone on my team, then get ♥♥♥♥ from newer people in the game for my low score then they rage quit cuz they dont wanna start behind.. i mean ♥♥♥♥, HELP ME! dont just leave! clearly you see 1 vs. 4, my score wont be way up there! im good at versus if theres team work, but not when all i got to work with is 3 bots that stand in the damn opening!

i know i complaining but come on, thats a legit pain in the ♥♥♥.

Play with friends only?

But i think i understand why many people are rage quitting. They know they are gonna get rage kicked by the others if they do anything wrong so why not just get out voluntarily before it gets embarrassing?
Munkee 23/jan./2014 às 0:31
well. problem for that is that not enough friends online to play when i want. or if they want to play it. so online is my only choice.

That won't help if the other team quits.
In fact, a ragequit counter won't help against that either.

They could count quitting as a loss and remaining the only player in a game as a win.

Excuse me, what?
You mean like in versus?
Wouldn't the fact that there are no human survivors make infected win anyway?

So you would want a # Of Times Quit counter, so you could know they are quitters? What are you going to do? Quit and raise your counter?

Also how would the counter differentiate between ragequitting and just regular quitting? My stats should look poor because the matchmaking decided to put me into a really bad ping server? Or I get a phone call and back out of the game?

I prefer the system we have. And I don't run into full team wipes very often, you must get some bad luck. I have had rematches against teams we completely dominated from start to finish for both games.

I'm willing to take a bite for my team haha, I'll play with you whenever I see you in game :D
Not a rage quitter, I keep my cool xD

if you quit in lobby, then how would your counter go up?
what moron checks stats in game? then ur wasting time.

why play a versus match, if you refuse to have a losing score?

point of versus is to see what team is better, so you got a 50/50 shot of losing. 1 bad match, our score is only down by 100, and all 3 leave?
for me, im happy if its just a good game, and the players are having fun.

i had a entire game of nothing but people who like to play for fun, we were making jokes, and no one rage quit or got mad at the score. and my team only lost by 200.
THATS a real game, THOSE are real gamers.

i play to win, but im not gonna rage quit everytime things went bad one time.

There already is a existing way of seeing people's stats. If you look at their profile, it shows the success rate in campaign. How many VS mode games they have completed. ect..... If you see a person with a low percent survival rate, chances are they are quitters. If you see a lot of incomplete VS games, chances are they quit VS mode a lot.

Stats barely work in this matter. Not only are the quitting-stats inaccurate and it is unknown what actually counts as "quitting", furthermore you can quit for pretty much any reason and not be a "ragequitter".

Still does not matter in my books. A quit is still a quit. Any chronic rage quitters I encountered have a low %. If you do not have time to play through a entire campaign, then do not even play. I do not play L4D 2 in the mornings I work for example. Time management everyone.
The Arrow 23/jan./2014 às 19:32
That's the issue. You cannot say a quit is a quit. You have some stats saying how much versus games one SUPPOSEDLY has COMPLETED. Two issues arise: One, the stats are inaccurate, which regarding this specific entry, they are. Two, an unfinished game does not mean you quit, or anyone else quit.
If you want to block out people who would grief etc. a more successful approach would be to block vac banned people rather than someone not fulfilling an inaccurate stats entry which one has to interpret because it doesn't even keep track of what you want.
