tips to avoid china server ?

i'm living in japan! every time i play this game! it's a high chance i joined a china custom server! first ! i don't want to play any rpg mod in this horror game ! if i want , i can turn on my ps3 to play any jrpg i wanted to ! secondly i don't understand chinese ! why keep recommend me this server ? really apreciate the help! thanks for reading!

The servers you are being connected to depend on your download region in steam. I don't really know what country would be optimal for a Japanese to choose, but I think you may try US west or something close. I am kind of in a similar situation to your's as I live in Russia, and you may know what kind of reputation Russians hold (and very much live up to). So I have to change my region If i am to have an enjoyable experience.

yeah. chinese 3rd party server sucks. and 3rd party servers should not be allowed.
if valve made l4d3. i hope they disable 3rd party servers for good

yeah. im living in SEA, and always got china 3rd party server. what i do is manually choose server, in "openserverbrowser" with command console.

the server browser would be the best way to avoid them. using the server browser gives you more freedom to choose what server you want to join and better pinpoint where it might be hosted.

same here, i always get myself into third party cn server.

but i did something, i just create new lobby myself, and let anyone join in. probably thats for now i do that, i guess.
