Library > (right click on) L4D2 > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache
*Keep verify your game cache until it says "All files successfully validated."
And for the Xbox 360 version what do i do?

I don't think a picture would help since its just a sound effect, you don't see lightning appear.
You said "storm weather effect". That's not just sound. That's wind, rain, lightning.
Nvm.
Of course there are also other possibilities how such things can happen but I read many times from other users who had strange problems like this because of custom maps or (other) mods.
If this method doesnt work I cant help you (but there are still more qualified people here than me). Good luck.
