Swamp Fever Finale Expert
Can someone who's passed this please tell me what I'm doing wrong here? It's the last campaign I need to complete for the "Still Something To Prove" Acheive.

I've made numerous attempts at this and I struggle until I quit each time. I usually camp through hordes in the left most corner next to the house in the back yard which does pretty well. I play with bots too and I've passed the other campaigns with them on Expert. We usually survive to the first Tank, cook him with a Molotov then retreat back to the corner. However on all my attempts the second horde is where it all goes wrong. Then the double tank shananigans begin and we die everytime.

Also, why even is there two Tanks? I've never understood why it's the only Finale with a Double Tank outside of 4mins+ Survival..

I can only give advice about the finale.

When the two tanks spawn, make sure someone is on the minigun. Once the two tanks follow the guy on the minigun, they have to get off of it, run down the stairs and burn it with the molotov. Once they're lit, grab a sniper or an M16 and shoot while running back. Watch out for specials. Friend me if you would like. :)

Gotcha! :3 I'll give it a shot!
I generally record my games.. if you simply want to beat the finale the standard way you can hold out here:

I made the timestamp show me running from the radio to the spot.

Killing the tanks is more interesting if you are beating this for the first time on expert. Light them on fire and run around outside. You can jump on the bushes by running up against the trees that are right next to the bushes and then crouch jumping onto the bushes.

gl =)))))).

How I did it was I just held out on the porch and shot incoming infected, and when the tanks arived I just ran around the bush maze. I did this all with bots, too. If you need help, add me.

When you first reach the plantation house, you'll find a stairwell to the far right. Not the main stairwell where the roof is open but another stairwell to the far right of the area. Place one gas can on the bottom floor and leave the rest on the middle of the stairs where it turns to throw down later. Have 2 players cover the bottom floor, while the other two cover the second floor. When you hear the tank music start, wait until you see him and throw the molotov directly at his feet. (You'll need at least 2 molotovs so keep that in mind but if you run out gascans can help too.)

Once the tank is lit, have everyone run outside and use the hedges for cover when he starts throwing rocks. Once he gets too close, have everyone run to the front porch and up the main stairwell and wait. Once the tank runs in, gun him down and if he makes it up the stairs, keep circling until he's dead.

Once the first tank is dead, run back to the stairwell on the right and do the same thing. If you run out of ammo, make sure EVERYONE moves out to the ammo pile as a group, and then moves back the same way. Once the hordes are dead, wait until you see both tanks, and group them together through a bottleneck like the front door or a long hallway, then light them both. Now just keep running until both tanks are dead and duck behind cover (make sure the cover is taller than you are) when you hear the tank lift a rock. Stay on the move until they both burn to death, the head for the gate. When the gate explodes, book it to the boat.

What he said.

Only want to add that its a good idea to save a bile for the actual run to the boat. throw it directly on the tank there and have the horde block his movement as grp run for escape

Usually, if you are already at the gate when the explosion happens, there should be no problem getting to the boat apart from a stray rock from the tank, if he even manages to throw it that far, but usually by the time he starts chucking rocks, you're already in the water near the boat.

The original heists all have some gimmick to make their finales unique. Dead Center had scavenge, Dark Carnival had the copter come from two possible directions, Swamp Fever had a double tank, Hard Rain had it take place on the first map (and the thunderstorms), Parish had a rolling crescendo to the helicopter. They just wanted to make the finales feel a bit different from each other so they weren't all exactly the same, like in L4D1.

I didn't know there were heists in this game, nor did I know that the chopper could appear at 2 locations.

Here is another tactic for handling the hordes. All the bushes outside can be jumped on. And some of the corner ones have height advantage & the common can ONLY approach while climbing. This makes them vulnerable & easy pickings. The top - of - the bushes spot has been the most effective spot for my friends games. We take little damage ( if at all. We have done the finale without taking a single point of damage. ) & even the specials are easy to take down from that spot.

Haha, I meant "campaigns", god I've been playing too much Payday. I've also been ridiculed for calling the long-tongue zombie a cloaker in the heat of the moment. But the rest of my information is correct, terminology notwithstanding.

I figured it was because of Payday, however I have never seen the chopper arrive anywhere other than the left side of the bleachers if you are looking at it from the stage.
