Questions regarding L4D 1 & 2 on Steam Deck
I got this game for a family member so that we could play some of the workshop mod levels but unfortunately they have an Apple computer and L4D can no longer run on it. So we are deciding if they should get a Steam Deck since they can't afford a gaming computer. But I have a couple of questions for any who knows the answers, please assist:

Does the game run decent enough on the Deck to support multiplayer?

Can the same workshop mods and levels work on the Deck?

Do workshop mod levels work on multiplayer or only single player only, and if they do work multiplayer do all players have to download it or just the host?

I merely said that the OP would be better off building a computer. How does that qualify me for what you're trying to argue?
And why the heck do u keep going at it? If not for ur posts, this thread would be clean. but then again, your kind knows nothing about being clean-minded
you called the steam deck a console, it is not. it is a pc. the price you recommended, 400 euros, is what a 64GB steam deck costs, 399 usd. what you recommend is exactly what the steam deck is. it's just as competent, if not more than a pc you could build with current hardware prices.
u know what? i came back to apologize for saying "ur kind" but then i opened your latest post and i just cannot... omfg dude are u being serious.
1: it's a handheld gaming device, a portable console system. saying that it is a pc will not make it a pc.
2: a pc means personal computer, which the steam is not
3: i have already told everyone that i bought a gaming pc for 400 euros. It was actually 250euros and the computer screen was 150€ hahaha
4: the steam deck runs big games at 30 fps or lower, at the minimum quality configuration possible
5: you're paying for having a portable console, not for quality gaming (it's the best handheld console atm, but it's still very weak compared to a decent pc)
5: i grew tired of this whole situation while writing, see you

Do I need a Steam account to use Steam Deck?

The default Steam Deck experience requires a Steam account (it's free!). Games are purchased and downloaded using the Steam Store. That said, Steam Deck is a PC so you can install third party software and operating systems.

Valve's own words from the steam deck store page https://store.steampowered.com/steamdeck

DMC5 running at 60 FPS with a mixture of medium to low settings

L4D2 running at 60 FPS at max settings

MGR:R running at 60 FPS at max settings

RE2: R running at 60 FPS at medium settings

yes, you might have to run some titles on lower settings. but that's the same for most computers around that price range and dependent on game optimization.

I thought PC meant desktops and laptops only.
And you just proved me wrong on the specs part too.
I have been ignorant and offensive towards you, I sincerely apologize.

Garry's School, a French Youtuber tested the steam deck, and it's trash no matter what people say.

The screen is little as ♥♥♥♥, it has no real Computer parts, meaning it's either a console or a phone.

Playing on it is atrocious, it has no advantage.

Would you use a gameboy to play Left 4 Dead or Half Life? Because not me that's for sure, gaming PC can be ameliorated, unlike the consoles and phones. And even better, a PC can be used for EVERYTHING.

it has a Zen 2 CPU (info[www.amd.com]), RDNA 2 GPU (info[www.amd.com]), and other pc hardware you can find on the official steam deck store page and its standalone website.

so can a steam deck, because it's a pc. like valve said it is.

examples of it being used as a pc
