1: it's a handheld gaming device, a portable console system. saying that it is a pc will not make it a pc.
2: a pc means personal computer, which the steam is not
3: i have already told everyone that i bought a gaming pc for 400 euros. It was actually 250euros and the computer screen was 150€ hahaha
4: the steam deck runs big games at 30 fps or lower, at the minimum quality configuration possible
5: you're paying for having a portable console, not for quality gaming (it's the best handheld console atm, but it's still very weak compared to a decent pc)
5: i grew tired of this whole situation while writing, see you
The default Steam Deck experience requires a Steam account (it's free!). Games are purchased and downloaded using the Steam Store. That said, Steam Deck is a PC so you can install third party software and operating systems.

yes, you might have to run some titles on lower settings. but that's the same for most computers around that price range and dependent on game optimization.
I thought PC meant desktops and laptops only.
And you just proved me wrong on the specs part too.
I have been ignorant and offensive towards you, I sincerely apologize.
Garry's School, a French Youtuber tested the steam deck, and it's trash no matter what people say.
The screen is little as ♥♥♥♥, it has no real Computer parts, meaning it's either a console or a phone.
Playing on it is atrocious, it has no advantage.
Would you use a gameboy to play Left 4 Dead or Half Life? Because not me that's for sure, gaming PC can be ameliorated, unlike the consoles and phones. And even better, a PC can be used for EVERYTHING.
so can a steam deck, because it's a pc. like valve said it is.
examples of it being used as a pc
