If you're not sure and want to talk to other Steam Deck owners, try this forum.
Everyone always has to subscribe to the same add-ons if you want to play together. Not only the host.
Yes.
If you want to play custom maps on multiplayer everyone needs to have it installed.
why waste it on a console?
edit: ignorant post from me, it's not a console =)
You will all regret this, keep the money and make them install bootcamp windows on their computer, it's free and supported by Apple.
Don't buy a console, keep the money for a gaming setup.
I also want them to get into actual computer gaming, and I believe that using the steam deck they would be able to play games shared from my acct that they cannot play on the consoles. To show that there are mods out there that enhance a lot of games for the better. Also because I stopped buying consoles years ago and would like to be able to play multiplayer with them using remote play. (Also I despise everything Apple)
Everything was second-hand, except the peripherals.
If you have the patience, try to find second-hand equipment near you. And always find a way to test it before u buy it.
And why the heck do u keep going at it? If not for ur posts, this thread would be clean. but then again, your kind knows nothing about being clean-minded
Thank you, but I already recommended to them to build a new computer (I was even willing to do it and mail it to them, just needed the funds) multiple times, but they do not want to have to sit in one place because it would be no different then a console to them. Also I didn't want them to just use a laptop either because that is bigger than the steam deck. I was looking for a middle ground since they seem to love using the Nintendo switch as an on- the- go game player and the steam deck fits this type perfectly.
