it is hard, but once u get to know when the tank will spawn, when special infected will spawn, and come up with better gear equipment

With the right people is not hard at all. Yesterday I played a game with 3 random players in a pub and literally I was doing the whole work, they couldn't defend themselves from Special Infected and I had to deal 80% damage to tanks by myself and we barely did 6 minutes.

On the other hand, I also met good players in a pub, I became friends with them and we easily did get golden medals on medium - hard maps. In time, I even met very experienced survival players and we easily did 20-30 minutes on most maps or even 1h on The Bridge. So, practicing and the experience are the key, but only with decent players. It's a CO-OP game, everybody must contribute with something, it's not enough for one player to do the whole job.

That's because you are a casual player.

Survival is much harder than campaign (in campaign you only fight a few SI and 1 tank at a time), but it is not that hard.

You need a coordinated team with good aiming and plenty of game experience, if you have that, you can easily last 20 min in survival or more if you want, but I personally find it too boring to keep going.

The biggest issue with the survival mode is how inconvenient it is for preparation. Getting all the throwables/healing items/weapons/gas cans into one spot you're gonna be holding can be extremely tedious, and time consuming, not to mention demoralizing if you get wiped out before even having the chance to use all the items you've gathered.
