- that all the pellets hit the hunter, on the head, preferably
Also, in case you need some binds
bind "e" "+use" // to pick out the shotgun
bind "1" "slot1" // to equio the shotgun, that is in the slot 1
bind "mouse1" "+attack" // fire
bind "mouse2" "+attack2" // shove
the m2 is in case you want to deadstop the hunter
its a versus thing only. Alot of mechanics are different between coop and vs
- the hunter is much more predictable in campaign mode
- only requires good aiming
shotguns in co-op cant deal enough damage to one-tap pouncing hunters, unless they were hurt beforehand.
versus specifically handles this situation differently
learn how skeet works please
All weapons will allow you to skeet, not just the shotgun.
Hunters have 250 health
Every shotgun except the chrome can deal 250 damage or more in a single shot (the chrome only deals 248)
So every shotgun except the chrome can skeet a hunter provided you dont miss any pellets.
In versus mode, human controlled hunters are a bit weaker, so its much easier to skeet them since you dont need to land every pellet.
I dont think you know how skeet works
From what I’ve heard, no, it’s the opposite. Human hunters have less health while pouncing.
pump shotgun's giant spread + combined with the fact that most of hunter's limbs have a 25% damage resistance means it will fail almost every single attempt.
now factor in l4d2's horribly low tickrate and notoriously shifty hitboxes and tell me with a straight face that this is a learnable, practicable occurence to shotgun one tap fresh hunters in campaign outside of a one in a fifty chance.
when people talk of "skeeting" they mean the actual VS mechanic. Pouncing players have a special, hardcoded damage taken multiplier when they are lunging.
also consider that no one uses or should use vanilla pump as it is hands down the worst shotgun out of all 4.
I will however concede that it technically *can* happen under this mountain of highly specific factors, you got me.
