How to use cheats in custom campaigns?

As you may know you have to load a map via the developer console before you can use sv_chats 1 , but the only way I know to do this is with map cxxmxx (x for random nuber) The problem is now that custom maps don't have this cxxmxx and so you can't select them in this way. I also already tried to tipe the map name itself like "map 25tolife" but then the game always says that the map couldn't be found or is invalid.

They have specific chapter names; you can always unpack the vpks to see their titles. For example, the first chapter of Gladiador's Hard Expert Blood Harvest is l4d_farm01_hilltopmod, taken from the missions text file.

This is what I use. It works in custom campaigns and it's very easy to use, as everything is triggered via chat, not the console. It even has a guide listing all commands. Just helping out another Dragon :3

Do you mean unpack with Notepad++ or with programs like 7.zip

I'm not sure if you can read this but you can see it in command prompt of the game. Just scroll back and you can see this info :

and now go back to main menu and insert map wildride01
