i also do not understand your argument. you spend the whole of it critiquing specific characters of l4d1 and 2 but do not name a single b4b character
What make L4D character work is they all have their own personality and background to tell the player from the start who they are and why they act in such way.
I'll just cut the chase. IMO, it is better to have ragtag of misfit for a character that you can't help but curious than having best buddy type of character who trying too hard to convince you they're cool roomate only to become nuisance of a character when it come to grim settings. B4B got the setup right, I won't deny that, but the characterization left nothing for chemistry between each character and it might work if we're in era where Evil Dead are still a thing.

I gave B4B the fair chance it deserved but it just does A LOT of stuff wrong.
There is something in the works for the "guide" section regarding l4d being a walking simulator, but that won't be the main point of that guide. it will be released in around 1-2 weeks and you'll see what it is about. this is just a slight announcement. the reason for the delay is because it will contain something that first needs to be verified from outside Steam or i'll just need to find a way to somehow add that "thing" some other specific way.
