And might as well fire faster? I don´t know they pretty much behave the same... 1 to 1.
The Combat Shotgun features 9 pellets per shell with each pellet dealing 28 damage. It has a slightly tighter spread than the Tactical Shotgun, affording each pellet a greater chance of hitting the intended target or targets, as well as increasing the distance at which the weapon is still effective.
The Tactical Shotgun features 11 pellets per shell with each pellet dealing 23 damage. It has a wider spread than the Combat Shotgun, granting increased breadth of fire for less tightly knit groups of Infected, but suffers at mid-range or beyond.

if you are in a corridor constantly or funnel commons to a door the autoshotgun is better
if you need to kill specials at a medium distance or need to headshot the spas is better
the T1 shotguns mimic this too, one is like the spas and the other is like the autoshotgun
the discrepancy between pump and chrome is huge, while spas vs combat is just about the same.
guess the m1014 is slightly better for crowning the witch if you are bad with aim? but thats about all you are gonna get
