HD/HQ Mods crashing
Is there a way to stop prevent crashing when having too many HQ mods like high quality weapon packs and items and such? I noticed when having a lot of high quality weapon mods or maybe even survivors, items and particle effects, the game will crash frequently, depending on the weapon mod too sometimes it won't even load in before a crash. One way I did find actually was putting the texture settings to low, but is there any other way to fix this?

Stop making the ancient game chug 4K textures and million-poly 288MB weapon mods and you'll fix your problem.

Unfortunately having a better computer has nothing to do with this. Even on a gaming PC, having tons of HQ mods will still result in crash

Using -vulkan mode will drastically decrease RAM usage for this game. For me it went from constantly hitting the 2.5gb limit to around 1.6gb. Micro freezes also were gone because game was no longer struggling freeing memory. I can use 4K textures without any issues. Paired with higher heapsize you can use high poly models too. You just need to update the DXVK version if youre on windows or otherwise you get crashes.

I think the game looks fine as is, but the workshop is there and the mods are there for people to change whatever they want. I don't think it's necessary to go around telling others how to make their game look. If you don't got anything helpful to say, don't say it.

The answer is literally to not use them lol. It’s an old game and isn’t meant to use those textures. I recommend you don’t use them if you want better performance and less crashes

Yet another, in the LONG list of reasons why I hate CoDMW 2019 weapon addons

You need to decrease the mods you are using. Whether it's an old or new game, too many mods will crash it

What resolution are you playing at? When I use DSR, the occasionally crashes and that's on a 280 super. The source engine that really scale well above certain resolutions, the text can be small
