Will nintendo issue take down notices for L4D2 mods

As much as there are clowns and trolls, Nintendo actually sent take-down notices against GMOD because of mods. I wish i were lying.

Well you all will be fortunant to know that it WASN'T Nintendo issuing the takedowns for the mods on the Garry's Mod workshop, it was a copyright troll pretending to BE someone from Nintendo but there's a rumor going around that Valve are the ones forcing Facepunch to do the purge of the workshop in the first place, so now EVERY single workshop on Steam will likely have similar purges happen.

The name that's associated isn't fully confirmed and there's likely not even the name used for whoever's was doing it from the Steam side of the reports, but there's a massive discussion on the discussion board covering this, it's hard to miss with it having 3000+ posts on it.

Literally anyone can submit a report of "I think that's copyright infringement" using the report button without issuing formal DMCA take downs or anything like that. Valve has the right to remove anything they deem may be a legal challenge for them; it's their platform. If they're hinted at a potential issue and do nothing it looks pretty bad for them, to be fair.

You will be unfortunate to know that Garry has confirmed it was Nintendo that sent out that DMCA and you can expect all Nintendo related content to be removed and prohibited from the gmod workshop.
