my brightness is full but stil maps so dark i can't see anyting please someone help what should i do

I think there are some similar old threads about this that have some solutions provided. You can try to check them by using "brightness" keyword when searching discussion threads.

I had the same problem.
Here's what worked for me.


Options
Video
Display Mode - Full Screen
Brightness - Increase it

You can adjust the brightness in full screen.
You might not be in full screen, and not realize it.

On Steam Library, right click Left 4 Dead 2 and click on 'Property'. Then click on 'Installed Files' tab, and click on 'Browse' to open up game folder.

From there, navigate through 'left4dead' -> 'cfg' folder and open up 'video.txt' file, and add the following lines.

"setting.mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil" "1"

Save and exit, and right click on 'video.txt', click on 'property' to check 'read only' at the bottom.
