Med Pack Spawns

I'm not an expert at all of the behind the scenes game mechanics, but someone told me if you heal your teammates (as opposed to using the Med Packs for yourself) then the chances that more Med Packs will spawn is higher. Is this true at all? Does healing teammates or not influence the amount of Med Packs that could spawn in the map?

no. when the level starts, all medkits are spawned where they go.

When you load a map, all the health items that are going to be spawned are spawned. Nothing you do will make a medkit appear out of thin air. However, if you're doing really poorly, the director can upgrade a pills/shot/defib into a medkit. This chance is (arguably) slightly increased if your team is healing each other, though the change is not really noticeable, especially on Expert, where you actually need those medkits. The bigger factor is whether or not your team actually is taking enough damage to need those kits, which the director judges based on the damage your team is taking. In Versus, any change in items during your turn as Survivors will be reflected on the opposite team's turn as Survivors as well.

The bottom line is: should you worry about healing each other as opposed to using your own medkit? Not really, especially if you're going to lose speed or end up taking more damage as a result of waiting around for someone to heal you instead of just healing yourself.

me and others believe in healing each other then ourselfs, we believe it spawns more, but we could be right or we could be wrong, doesnt matter, just enjoy healing others, I always get thanked you and made alot of friends, saving them/pick them up against all hope too

I am a person that does actions based on facts. Hence why people would get mad about me denying healing others had any benefits.

I tell people not to heal me unless I am black and white or it is a must.. like before a nonstop horde. I can;t limp through it.
