Kicked from own server

I was hosting a local server when I got the message that I have been kicked from the session.

I've been hosting local servers off and on since 2010 and I've never come across this issue before.

I know this been recent attacks but I also don't want to immediately assume it was a hacker, does anyone have any idea what could have caused this?

campaign or versus? far as i know, versus is the only mode being afected from the russian hackers attack

By default the vote kick system doesn’t know who the local host is, and hence it does not protect the host from a vote kick. If you didn’t do anything to prevent yourself from being kicked while local hosting: Anyone can call a vote to kick you, if there are enough votes you are kicked. When the local host is kicked, the game ends for everyone.

Just Russian hackers? Not the hundreds of disgruntled western kids that infect the entirety of Versus?

Well it wasn't a vote kick I was just randomly playing and then I was presented with that message

do you use mods?

it happened to me randomly a lot when community update first dropped

i'd play then randomly be kicked for no reason

yes, I have tons of reskins and remodels and I have a anti-friendly fire which reflects 2/3 damage but I use sv_consistency 0 command so people can join.

Oddly enough even with that command enabled anti-friendly fire still works which is good I suppose
