every time i load the game i have no crosshair

the only way i can get a crosshair is if I do "cl_crosshair_alpha 255" but i just want the normal one again.. does anyone know how to fix this?

There are some old threads about how to solve this, but I don't remember the titles. I only remember that I helped them solve it by showing list of L4D2 cvars about crosshair.

Then type "cl_crosshair" on browser search feature (ctrl + f is usually the shortcut key) to find cvars related to crosshair. Then set all values just like what are shown there, as the values on that link are the default values of each cvar.

is there a way to save it because everytime i load up the game it puts no crosshair and i have to reput the commands in :(

Have you tried to add those cvars to either "config.cfg" or "autoexec.cfg"? Normally any client cvars will be saved after exiting the game, but if they aren't saved, you can try to add them to "config.cfg" or "autoexec.cfg"

i did add a autoexec.cfg thats probably why the corsshair dissappeared, is there a way i can add it to the file or something like that so it saves? if so how do i do that

Have you tried to copy-paste all those cvars on the discussion link into both "config.cfg" & "autoexec.cfg" files? You can open the files with notepad or notepad++.

If none of these worked so far, your only option is to use crosshair mod. A simple dot works better and accurate than original crosshair anyway.
