People who favor her is because they just like her character or like you mentioned play as her because she is female(which most female players tend to do). A minority is because of sexualization. and if it is for nsfw purposes it's not the characters fault.

This is true but I still fail to see fault in her character. Her ingame literally has more clothes on than Rochelle does and she obviously isnt your typical girly girl either. I blame the male dominated side of the game for this seeing how they are the ones making all of the nsfw and they're only really doing it because shes a girl. You guys hate her so much for this but it's quite literally not her fault. Theres a bit nsfw of the witch too due to her in the first game being the only female infected. Its literally because they were the first females that they were sexualized. Females in video games tend to unfortunately get a bunch of nsfw of them even if they're fully dressed like zoey is.

I'd say maybe before yes but now if anybody said anything bad about any survivor (especially coach) they'd get attacked for it. Zoey I feel like alot of people hate her nowadays for reasons that she cannot control and probably less likely to be defended now.

My hatred of Zoey and my hatred of Zoey fans are two separate things, only one of which is relevant to my comment and this discussion post.

I hate Zoey because there’s nothing to like. She’s boring. She has very little personality. She contributes almost nothing to the group dynamic. Even in terms of her appearance there’s nothing distinct about her; Bill is dressed in military attire, Francis has his biker getup and tattoos, Louis was very clearly at his office job when the outbreak started but Zoey is just… a teenager in a red jacket.

I hate her fans because, in my personal experience, the overwhelming majority of the Zoey fans I’ve met are exactly like what I’ve described. If you take her fans out of the equation, she’s fine. Very bland, but tolerable. But it’s because of her fans that I can’t type her name into a search bar without worrying about who might be standing behind me.

As for the mods I’ve made, I’m sure when you were playing detective you also would’ve seen the comments on the Zoey mod explicitly requesting that I make a version for Rochelle. You would’ve had to have seen them, because going so far as to imply that I’m a sexist without even bothering to properly look at what you’re using as evidence would be a pretty dumb thing to do, wouldn’t it?

people who put zoey up at #1 are most likely gonna be simps

the most reason she should be likeable is mainly due to the fact that shes the only "normal" charecter in the group

just someone who was thrown into the mess and now has to deal with a zombie infestation

shes just the type to make some bad jokes, watch horror movies etc

compare that to bill being some crazy war veterin that even in his old age is capable of just picking up a gun and clearing the floor from infected
francis this absalute dumb nut of a biker that lacks even 1 iq
and louis the super over the top optimistic charecter that is an it expert and capable of speaking multiple languages

every charecter is a steryotype of sorts for comedic effect and zoey hits the least because ironically shes the most realistic and relatible survivor.

when i think of "someone throwin into a chaotic zomie apocalipse" id think of zoey to be most suited. zoey in reality is a very mid chaecter overshadowd by the other 3 survivors extreem personalities

she is the only actual charecter to have growth within the story (especially after ill abandons people to get the train out of the overrun military base where shes hating bill for it)

zoey is well writen and has her own touch f personality although not as extreem as others which in its own way works really well but if you are looking for lets say comedic effect shes just kinda there
