as forced upgrade/update? , nah that would be horrible and probably will kill 90% of the workshop content and 50% of their low end pc playerbase.
Also, since it'd be more intensive, it'd end up performing worse. It'd probably just end up like the Source 2 equivalent of Half-Life: Source..
