Survivors Icon Location Folder

Where the icons are stored? I want to change the Survivor icons to another thing, but I have no idea the location of the image folder. Can't use .vpk, by the way, I'll change one by one.

By the way, I don't want to change model, neither appearance, nothing like that, I just want to change the bottom icon of the UI, both the standard icon and the incap icon, nothing more.

When you want to make addons, you need to use vpks.

steam > steamapps > Left 4 Dead 2 > left4dead2 > pak01_dir (make sure you have GCFscape) > materials > vgui

No, actually we don't need to use .vpk to change files. I'm not doing an addon, I'm changing the files manually. For example, I changed the music of the Tank to another one and I didn't have to make and addon nor .vpk.

Yeah thats true that vpks are not needed but in long terms they are easier to manage ;)

Even if they are easier to manage, there are community servers that blocks .vpks, making them useless.

When you are talking about versus, you are half right.theres a way to still use addons. Sadly some ppl use filthy stuff to get advantages.

They are right, I don't blame them. The problem is, for people like me who knows that the anti-cheat only works against addons, people can manipulate the whole game file by file, like changing sounds, removing Boomer's blind effect and deafening sound, all of that. The game is from 2009, even Valve gives a ♥♥♥♥ about Left 4 Dead 2, so at least is something.

The reason why I want to make my own icons is because I play with my friends, and each of them have an unique character that I use in my edition when uploading on YouTube, so I want to put those characters that I made as icon to be funnier when watching.
