If everybody tried their hardest to win, they'd all be having fun. It would turn into a competition and each player could feel some level of satisfaction when they see how many points they scored.
If everyone played casually and just mucked around in versus, they'd also all have fun. There's no pressure to perform well, and everybody can enjoy the smaller aspects of the game rather than focusing on points.
However, when you have a few people playing seriously, and a few people messing around, you start running into issues. The sweats will make use of every insta kill spot, sync up constantly, and hang back as a tank to throw rocks, which makes the game frustrating and tedious for the people who are just there to have a good time. Likewise, if half your team doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about winning, wastes their special abilities, or can't pull their weight for one reason or another, that's going to annoy the people who do want to win, since they're being hampered by an ineffective teammate and can't chase those high scores or damage numbers anymore.
The best solution is to try your best and pull your weight, but don't treat the game like its a life or death emergency. Communicate with the other players in the server so that you can gauge how seriously people are taking the game, and if that doesn't align with what you want then just requeue.
-You don't pull your weight and thus get kicked
-"Bro why is everyone such a tryharding sweaty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?"
I wonder.
Not everyone is a loser like you
simple
game cheap
everyone has it
neckbeards with potato laptops from 2010 can only run this game thus they play it 24/7 and dedicate their whole life to this game because they got nothing else
hence why they take it to seriously and worship it
Should i refund? I have like almost 2000 hrs...
Versus was fun at first but then it got boring after people either: Leaving or Kicking.
Basically bad game modes with small effort to balance it.
save your time and play the co op or other games if you want team vs team experience.
