How do you get hi-res sprays?
I see so many other people with crisp high resolution sprays, and yet mine look like they're hardly 100 pixels across

I know this is might be a silly thing to complain about but its just been annoying me for the longest time

Use VTFEdit (free tool to convert images into textures for Source games) and set the resolution of your spray texture to 512x512 when converting. Do be mindful not to use too many colours in your initial image, or your spray texture will be too large to be used in multiplayer.

avoid using dx1 when making sprays , more details:

-dx1 - heavily compressed size but lower quality output.
-dx5 - decently compressed size - medium quality output.
-bgra888 - no compression - higher quality output.

-on sharpen filter try only using both "soft" or "medium"
-on resize filter try using "cubic" or "triangle"

also remenber using the PNG format always before importing your image into VTF , pngs atleast IMO are the best in terms of keeping quality when turned into VFTs.

I would recommend not changing the size of the spray texture because that made it not work for me.
