is there some way to stop the bots from instantly grabbing the sniper rifles?

whenever i play the game and get to a point where valve, in their infinite wisdom, added a sniper weapon before the players get access to tier 2 weapons, the bots grab those and it makes the game more boring imo. Are there any mods that fix this?

i'm playing with left 4 bots installed, it makes the game a lot better solo. and by boring it just feels less interesting when everyone is using the same guns.

but that's my point, why r u playing solo. the game is even more boring that way. even if ur teammates suck, its still fun to carry them

some bots will prefer snipers over other weapons, so if you play on those survivors it will stop them. I think Rochelle and Zoey will prefer snipers, but I've seen Ellis with a sniper pretty often too. Some bots prefer magnum over dual pistol too so pick the survivor best for the mode.

Generally for L4D2 single player I think Ellis is the best survivor to play as because he often takes a sniper and prefers dual pistols as a bot

A workaround would be to play only as Ellis/Zoey yourself.

This is the easiest way to fix the issue. Ellis and Zoey prefer to use sniper rifles, whilst the other bots have different preferences (Francis uses shotguns, Bill uses assault rifles, etc). If you play as either Zoey or Ellis, then you can use whatever weapons you want, and the other bots will just grab their preferred weapons.

right click > new > text document > itemstoavoid.txt
