Game wont start. Windows 10 OS.

Not sure if my computer just cant run a source engine game or if it's something with the game. I've verified, reinstalled, Changed targets and such. I'm not sure what else I can do to fix this.

I've been playing the game with windows 10 since I upgraded from win7 back at release, it's nothing to do with win10.

I didn't know that, But I felt knowing my operating system could help someone give me an answer to the problem.

we just got out of a steam problem with some games, haved the steam files received the needed upgrade? it worked in two of my games, in the booting.

How can you not know about DirectX and Visual runtime libraries?
Someone else installs everything for you?

BTW, you can just search "left 4 dead 2 won't launch" and A BUNCH of fixes will appear.
To have the power to access so much information with literally a click of a button and to decide to lose time like this... At least you make some people laugh.

I was talking about wikipedia ..... kinda wrote stuff on there .... got opposed by my editor at time twice and got yelled for "self market"

Tried all these, still isn't working for me lol. Not a problem with the source engine either, TF2 works fine.

Ok, i have a possible solution, go to yours game properties and put these lines on the initialize options: -novid -console -vulkan

I just updated Windows 10 the day before yesterday and since I restarted my PC and tried to open the game it no longer started, not even the icon appears I'm still looking for a solution because I've already tried everything :c

YOOOOO thank you thank you thank youuuu i have been trying solutions left and right, desinstalling and reinstalling, deleting mods and downloading drivers and libraries. finally i can play l4d2 again
